The Bath which is constant temperature oil bath wherein calibrated capillary viscometers are used to measure flow under gravity or vacuum at controlled temperatures. The test can be conducted in accordance with ASTM D 445 / ASTM D 446 / IP 71. Generally the temperature is set at 40 & 100°C.
APPARATUS CONSIST OF :
Constant temp. bath | The liquid heating bath made up of SS with stirring assembly to maintain constant temperature. |
Viscometer tubes | Borosilicate mfg., design and dimensions as per standard, with calibration certificate. |
Cooling (optional) | Single stage compressor CFC free cooling system, temperature below ambient upto. 20OC. |
Control panel | PID type temperature controller, switches, RTD sensors, etc. separate for each bath. |
Recommended spares | Circulation air oven / drying oven, standard thermometers, stop watch, CFPP test jar assembly, pipet with filter unit, set of glassware, etc. |
