This humidity cabinet is mainly used for the standard test method for ‘rust protection by metal preservatives’ as per ASTM D 1748. In this method, the finished steel panels are first dipped in test oil, allowed to drain and then suspended in provided cabinet for specific period. The size of rust dots on the surface of the test panel is checked accordingly the oil is passed.

APPARATUS CONSIST OF :

Humidifying cabinet	SS mfg./full FRP body, automatic level control of distilled water, easy drainage.
Specimen stage	Rotating stage with circular drip pan, suspension hooks for specimen, electric rotating motor.
Air supply assembly	Ring manifold with diffuser stones, air filter, pressure regulator, Rotameter, supply tubing, etc.
Control panel	PID type, digital temperature indicator cum controller, set point, relays, switches, etc.
Framework	Sturdy framework, made from powder coated GI with rust proof.
Recommended spares	Dry air supply (air compressor), de mineralized water plant, ASTM 12C thermometer, metal test specimens / sand blasted panels as per ASTM D 1748, monel suspension hooks, etc.
